The Orion Explorer DCM Concept Picture
The new Explorer connection is an easy to connect and comfortable clip that is capable of measuring double or single meridians on a finger. As seen above the red connector and cable will plug into a medically approved socket on one of the two leads molded into the harness and attached to the rear of the Explorer DCM unit.
The picture above demonstrates a connection with each cable connected to the adaptor. Note that the adaptor connection contains five (5) different color coded cable attachments. To ease and simplify the connecting process the cables will also be color coded to match the colors on the adaptor. Thus, connecting the matching cables to the fingers or toes will be a simple and speedy process. Look for an Auricular attachment for the ear later this year. Another important point to be made is tht a single lead can be used if all you are doing is an allergy, sensitivity, NAET or similar workup. No need to attach the remaining leads to obtain the results you seek. Want to do a CEDS screening? Select the designated connection and use the Orion Explorer as a conventional CEDS system.
COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS: WE RECOMMEND ACER BRAND COMPUTERS ALTHOUGH HP, TOSHIBA AND IBM ARE SATISFACTORY AS WELL. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND DELL, GATEWAY OR SIMILAR "FAST FOOD" COMPUTER BRANDS WITH LOWER QUALITY MATERIALS AND QUESTIONABLE SERVICE AND SUPPORT.
STAR TECH RECOMMENDS YOUR COMPUTER (DESKTOP OR NOTEBOOK) CONTAIN AT LEAST 1 GIG OF RAM WITH A PROCESSOR SPEED OF 1.6 GIGAHERTZ OR BETTER. HARD DRIVES ARE GENERALLY 80 GIGABYTES OR LARGER WHICH IS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT.

The Screens to follow are a small sampling of the many new features that will be available on the new Explorer technology. Some screens will be updated further and may not retain the current view as Jim continues to add more “bells and whistles” both requested by our practitioners or added by Star Tech because it’s a great idea. Screens are not actual size.
Opening Explorer Screen
The new software builds on the Orion System with new functions, tabs, color coding, group functions and stream lining the screen look. As you can see above you can view the body with or without skin to provide easier point location in conventional CEDS testing. The exaggerated skin provides easier point decernment. Maneuvering from place to place flows smoothly when using the conventional point testing method while allowing the practitioner to quickly begin the automatic screening protocol.
Main V-Technology Setup Screen
From the main screen you can select the V-Technology screen to determine the meridians to be screened automatically. You may set the point reading sensitivity as well as how many resistance passes from left to right and right to left you want the computer to achieve during the point reading process.
V Technology Scan Screen
The Scan Function of the V-Technology works similarly to a regular Scan procedure except it is done in the background in a fraction of the time. Your balancing protocol in conducted in much the same manner with the dilution set prior to the screening procedure. Results are shown on the screen and can be added to the Hold of your choice. The user can adjust dilutions of items added to a Hold to precisely balance your clients.
V Technology Provoke Screen
The V-Technology Provoke Function will screen a list or lists of items you wish to screen for sensitivities relating to foods and many other issues that produce unpleasant symptoms. Lists such as heavy metals, hormones, NAET Kits, chemicals, toxins, parasites and many others can be screened in a fraction of the conventional method although the new system allows for the previous Orion style as well.
V Technology Holiolinguistic Random Number Generator (HRNG)
The HRNG function has been designed to support those new clients that have moved into the Star Tech product family from a unit that allows entering your own product or item. This feature is added as a convenience to Star Tech clients and incorporates the added function of a Random Number Generator to present a “selected” item from the main group of products from the database library (left side of the panel) or from the operator generated list from the right side of the panel. The “signal” generated from the HRNG actually is produced from the computer screen rather than from the Orion Explorer DCM unit. This process allows the unit to send or “imprint” a holiolinguistic signal from the screen of the computer as is done in most, if not all, competing units. If you have a competing brand and wish to find out if your unit is outputting a true signal ask your manufacturer for product test information using an oscilloscope. True outputs will show a unique pattern for each item in your database. This is not to say that there is not an effect manifested from a holiolinguistic system, however, most practitioners that have compared the results believe that a true output signal produces greater and faster results. The HRNG will provide results, especially when building your own list. We will encourage the use of both functions.
