flow
of the meridians. Then the body could heal itself. This is
the mechanism of homeopathics as well as the spinal manipulation
techniques given by chiropractors and the electrical stimulation
devices (such as TENS) used by many healthcare practitioners.
All these techniques are recognized by the FDA as "relaxation
therapy".
In November 2000, James Hoyt
Clark received US Patent 6,142,927 for "Method and Apparatus
for Treatment with Resonant Signals". That patent recognizes
the unique nature of Jim's invention. This step has been possible
because of new discoveries. In 1994, Dr. Alfred Gilman, of
the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Martin
Rodbell of the National Institute of Environmental Sciences
received the Nobel Prize for discovering that the cells of
the body communicate through radio frequency transmission.
Further, in 1997, while combining CEDS with infrared and laser
technology, Clark found that the "balancing" effect
was faster and extended in time.
Clark realized that his devices
did not just play music for relaxation therapy. By setting
the duration, the intensity and the type of signals, the devices
perform a treatment. Since 1997, Clark has made a number of
devices that use his methods and apparatus. Those new devices
expand the application of his older devices by establishing
treatment methods, which are unknown to other manufacturers. |
