The Star Tech Difference

What is Computerized Electro-Dermal Screening (CEDS)?

The CEDS process is done through the use of a biofeedback device, which is an instrument that provides a visual or auditory signal corresponding to the status of one or more of a client's physiological parameters to assist in relaxation training. Computerized Electro-Dermal Screening (CEDS) is the process of gathering resistance readings. This is done by introducing a small electrical current to the body and then collecting the data on the computer for evaluation. A practitioner is able to review resistance changes or patterns produced by this screening and can incorporate findings into relaxation training.

What do DCM devices do?

It is a "data acquisition process" used to determine resistance readings on the body over time.
It is a biofeedback device used for relaxation training.
It has a database of sound patterns to teach relaxation training.
It shows stress on the body and can guide the doctor on what will eliminate the stress.
It monitors the progress of changes in resistance readings, thus eliminating a great deal of trial and error.

How do DCM devices work?

To begin with, you must understand the operation of an ohmmeter. Why? Because the Orion System design requires the inclusion of ohmmeter circuitry to function. An ohmmeter is a tool used by electricians and technicians to determine the amount of resistance between two points of a circuit. That circuit can be as simple as a single piece of wire or as complex as the human body.
